Brunner’s Construction began with the help of a friend and a Ford.
More than 45 years later, the family-owned sewer and water business continues to serve its growing customer base in Saskatchewan. We offer a complete range of commercial, residential and industrial sewer and water services, including:
With his wife Veronica and six kids at home, John Brunner established Brunner’s Construction in 1974 when a friend presented him with an opportunity he couldn’t refuse. Ted Urness – former Saskatchewan Roughrider, Brunner family friend and owner of Hilltop Ford – loaned John a backhoe with Brunner’s Backhoe Service printed on the side. If he made money with it, John would come back and pay for the backhoe. If not, he could return it. John never returned the backhoe and never looked back.
Many years later, members of John’s family continue his tradition of delivering honest service for a fair price. The company has grown and the name has evolved, but one thing has remained the same since the day John first opened Brunner’s Backhoe Service – a focus on people. Our employees, customers, vendors and associates are part of the Brunner family.
At Brunner’s, we’re fortunate to have great support from the Saskatoon community. As a result of this support, we’re able to continue the tradition started by our mom and dad of developing relationships based on trust, friendships and supporting the community we’re fortunate to call home.
